  The Hat Shop Carmel stands a full head and shoulders above any other shopping experience in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The staff are fun, lively, and will bend over backward (literally. one lady used to be a contortionist at Barnum & Bailey) to put a smile on their customer's faces and watch them walk out a little taller then they walked in; feeling good with a new hat!! The Hat Shop Carmel is open late whether you find yourself with one of those last minute chapeau emergencies, or are simply a vacationing couples on a relaxing after dinner stroll.   Awesome selection of some very premium hats. But don't like how I was offered 15% off coupon as I was walking out, as I very well might have bought something if I had been given that on my way in. It's like it's an afterthought in case they couldn't squeeze every penny out of you without the discount.
